Star Trek Into Darkness has officially been released upon the public, and to celebrate the sequel, J.J. Abrams and the cast are going to hang out with some real life astronauts, over Google Hangout. What? Did you expect them all to be beamed up to the ISS? Keep dreaming.

At 12 p.m. EST, J. J. Abrams, writer/producer Damon Lindelof and cast members Chris Pine (Kirk), Alice Eve (Dr. Carol Marcus) and John Cho (Hikaru Sulu) will sit down for a Google Hangout with astronauts Chris Cassidy, Michael Finche and Kjell Lindgren.

This is one of those wonderful moments when sci-fi and real-world science not only influence each other, but truly meet. Check out the live feed below to watch all the fun.

Still, were the heck is Leonard Nimoy aka Spock? It's just not a party without Spock!
