Disney is ready to 3D-print you as a mini Stormtrooper

Last year, Disney offered a cool Star Wars promotional tie-in that allowed visitors to have their faces 3D-scanned onto a figure in the iconic carbon freeze device that trapped Han Solo. The theme park is bringing the service back, but this time there's an additional option for those more interested in exploring the dark side

This year the folks at Disney are offering to take a scan of your face and put it on a mini Stormtrooper figure, effectively making you a part of the Imperial clone army for all time (at least on your bookshelf). Part of the theme park's D-Tech Me experience, the face scanning process takes about 10 minutes. After that, the completed Stormtrooper figurine with your face will take about 7 to 8 weeks to be delivered to your doorstep.

However, slapping your mug on a tiny Stormtrooper doesn't come cheap. Disney is selling the service for $99.95 a pop. But for hardcore Star Wars fans, that price is probably considered a bargain. The service will only be offered during the park's Star Wars Weekends (May 17-19, May 24-26, May 31-June 2, and June 7-9).
