Identical twins meet for the first time through social media

Identical twins Samantha Futerman and Anais Bordier were separated at birth. Futerman is an actress living in Los Angeles and Bordier is a French fashion design student living in London. One of Bordier's friends saw a YouTube video of Futerman and mentioned their close resemblance to her doppleganger, who then contacted the actress via Facebook.

As it turns out, the girls have the exact same birthday and were both placed in foster care and later adopted by different families. Curious indeed.

Futerman describes her early contact with Bordier: "I knew I was about to embark on a journey that no one else had ventured before. Through just a Facebook induced interaction, I was positive that this girl was in fact my biological twin sister."

Now the pair has started a campaign on Kickstarter called Twinsters. With eight days remaining, they are nearly 10k over the original $30,000 funding goal to make a documentary about their shocking discovery and the ultimate reveal — a DNA test.
