Too much bling? Supercar has diamond-encrusted LED lights
When most people think of supercars, three kinds of cars come immediately spring to mind: Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Bugattis. And now, Beirut-based W Motors' Lykan Hypersport is joining the pack.
Revealed at the Qatar Motor Show, the Lykan Hypersport is the epitome of excess. If its $3.4 million price tag does't make your jaw drop, maybe the fact it has diamond-encrusted LED head lights (a world first) and gold-stitched leather interiors will. Diamonds not your style? The Lykan Hypersport's lights can also be custom-made with rubies, sapphires or emeralds, assuming you've got the money for it.
The car itself is no slouch, either. It's got a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine with 750 horsepower that can hit 62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 245 miles per hour. The Lykan Hypersport also has a virtual holographic display for its instrument panel.
"We wanted to produce the most expensive, most luxurious car ever made," says Ralph R. Debbas, founder and CEO of W Motors.
Can't get over the price? Maybe the free limited edition Cyrus Klepsy watch (worth $200,000) that comes bundled with the car will convince you. You better act fast, though: W Motors is only producing seven Lykan Hypersports, each of which will be individually numbered and stamped with the delivery date.
