Logitech adds mini keyboard case to mini iPad

If you've been on the fence as to whether or not to pick up an iPad mini, this little accessory could be what that pushes you over the edge. Logitech, the company responsible for one of the most popular keyboards for the full-size iPad, has shrunken its ultra-thin keyboard cover and adapted it for the iPad mini's 7.9-inch frame, instantly making the tablet into a fully functional mobile computer.

In addition to acting as a keyboard, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini, which magnetically attaches to the iPad mini, also serves as a display stand and convenient cover that puts the tablet to sleep when closed. Interestingly, on Logitech's website and YouTube channel, Nexus 7 owners are already enthusiastically asking the company for a similar accessory for their Android tablets. Logitech isn't offering any promises, but at least one representative from the company has said they'd pass the request up the corporate food chain.

Logitech's keyboard is on sale for $79.99 and should start shipping later this month. In the meantime, you can see a demonstration of the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard mini in the video below.
