On Friday, astronauts on the International Space Station spent 20 minutes moving a Soyuz TMA-09M spacecraft around to a new parking spot to make room for a Soyuz TMA-11M, scheduled to show up on November 7. You can watch the manuver in the video below. It's kind of a cool thing to check out, if only for the fact that it's a parking job that takes place in three dimensions, instead of two.
The arriving spacecraft will bring the total complement of astronauts on the ISS up to nine, which is a lot, considering that the space shuttle isn't flying anymore. Also arriving will be an Olympic torch (since taking fires up to a space station is totally a good idea), which will make a trip outside on a spacewalk on November 9.
