What is the most comforable, relaxing place to work? If you happened to answer "while chillin' on a beach, of course," your dream may not be as completely unrealistic as it sounds. Artist Justin Kemp has turned his home office into a beach of sorts, so if you're the jealous type, you might want to stop right here or consider doing something similar with your own home office.
Kemp calls his project Surfing With the Sand Between My Toes and that pretty much sums up the whole thing. He built himself a custom sandbox and put it under his desk and chair so that he can surf the web and have his feet in the sand all at the same time. So, even when he's sitting at his desk, he still has some beachy goodness coming his way. Here's what Kemp had to say about his sandbox office:
The sand is relaxing, but for me, its more a symbol of my permanent vacation. It’s the design of a lifestyle where ‘work’ becomes so satisfying that vacation and retirement become undesirable. It’s a permanent state of chill.
Sounds good, what do you think?
