3D printing shop lets you eat your lover's face in chocolate

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so it's time to come up with new and interesting ways to express your geek love. So what better way to show your loved one how much you care than by giving them a way to eat your face off, without becoming a zombie?

That's the special service Tokyo's FabCafe is offering for February's most romantic day. During the two-day process, the company will first take a 3D scan of your face using its in-house Breuckmann BodyScan machine, showing whatever expression you choose, and then output that 3D data into a silicon mold that can then be used to create your custom chocolates. The program is being set up as a workshop that costs about $66 to attend, but for that price you also get to take your 3D mold and chocolate creation home with you.

If you happen to be in Shibuya in the month of February, you can find out more about the workshop here, and you can see the Breuckmann BodyScan in action at the FabCafe in the video below.
