With the inauguration this weekend and the beginning of President Obama's second term, Congress has made some digital news. For the first time, all 100 United States Senators have a Twitter handle so folks can learn everything from new bill information to what they had for lunch.
In a move that isn't altogether surprising, all 100 Senators are on Twitter and 90 percent of the members of the US House of Representatives have an active Twitter account. That's 398 members.
This might seem obvious, until you consider the numbers from 2011: only 44 percent of the Senate and 38 percent of the House had active accounts.
Speaking of politics, the First Lady Michelle Obama had her inaugural tweet this past Monday, after joining the Friday before. She already has 124,000 followers.
